Water & Sewer

The utility bills are generated March 1, June 1, Sept. 1, and Dec. 1 and are due the 17^th of that month. Utility bills may be paid at the Clerk's office OR by mail to 120 College Avenue, PO Box 436, Britton, MI 49229 OR the drop-box located on the office door inside the main entrance. This drop-box is available during Clerk's office hours & Library hours.

WATER RATES (per quarter):

Residential

A single-family residence is a minimum of $31.00 for the first 5,000 gallons. Each additional 1,000 gallons is $2.50.

Commercial & School

Commercial property & school rate is a minimum of $31.00 for the first 5,000 gallons. Each additional 1,000 gallons is $2.50.

Apartments

2 base	$62.00 up to 10,000 gal.
3 base	$93.00 up to 15,000 gal.
4 base	$124.00 up to 20,000 gal.
8 base	$248.00 up to 40,000 gal.
12 base	$372.00 up to 60,000 gal.

*Water usage in excess of listed maximums will be billed $2.50 each additional 1,000 gallons.

Water Installation

Residents -$2500.00 up to 1" tap and includes service to property line with a shutoff at property line.

Non-Residents -$4000.00 up to 1" tap and includes service up to 100 feet OR to the property line, whichever is shorter distance with a shutoff at property line.

Industrial -$8000.00

METER RENTAL (per quarter):

The meter rental for a single-family residence is $4.00 and commercial/school rate is $10.00.

SEWER RATES (per quarter):

A single-family residence is $25.50.
