The Department of Public Works regular business hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Jim Frayer, Ben Allshouse or Cal Irwin can be reached by calling 517-451-8556. An answering machine will record messages after business hours.

Quarterly Utilities
Utility bills are generated March 1st, June 1st, September 1st, and December 1st and are due the 30th of that month. Utility bills may be paid at the Clerk's office or by mail to 120 College Avenue, PO Box 436, Britton, MI 49229 or a "drop-box" is available during library hours.
WATER RATES: A single-family residence is a minimum of $31.00 for the first 5,000 gallons. Each additional 1,00 gallons is $2.50. The meter rental for a single-family residence is $4.00.
SEWER RATES: A single-family residence is $25.50.
TRASH & RECYCLABLE RATES: A single-family residence is $35.00
Trash and recyclables will be picked up every Wednesday beginning at approximately 7:00 a.m.
Newspapers and magazines shall be bundled or bagged. Cans, glass and plastic shall be rinsed and clean of all contents. No lids. Cardboard must be able to fit on truck (cereal boxes, pop cases, etc.). Large boxes must be broken down. Compost shall be placed in yard waste bags.

BRUSH PICK-UP: In an effort to assist you with your yard brush, the Village DPW will pick up BRUSH TRIMMINGS to chip, not full tree removal. Please be aware that large amounts of brush left for chipping could subject you to a removal charge. Brush should be at the curb by Monday for pick-up on the first and third weeks of the month.
